Considering this new reality, journalists need to be even more mindful of manipulative agendas and gaps in their stories.

Ask yourself:

What is your sources agenda?

How is it distorting your understanding of the story?

What other potential sources can you tap to minimize the distortion and corroborate your understanding of what the story means in a broader context.
